Just a friendly reminder that our monthly outdoor weather siren test is coming up!

Weather permitting, the sirens will be tested on Thursday, November 5th, at 10:00 AM.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post so our community is aware of the scheduled test.

Flood gate training complete and the roadway is back open.

Starting around 5:30 the Pikeville Fire Department along with UMG will be conducting the annual flood wall training. During that time Bypass Rd and the Bowles Addition will be temporarily closed. The exit ramp to US 23 will remain open. On the other side of the wall (the Pikeville High School side) will be completely closed to through traffic and will be turned around. We ask that if possible you find an alternate route and if you are coming from the Bypass to US 23 use caution in that area and be mindful of our first responders and the vehicles that will be in the area.

***UPDATE***

The roadway is back open at this time.

Pikeville Fire Department along with UMG will be doing some maintenance at the flood wall by the Bowles addition starting around 9 am this morning. While they are preforming the maintenance they will have the road temporarily closed. This will primarily affect the Pikeville High School side of 3495. Please use an alternate route if traveling on that side of the flood wall. We will update this post once they have finished.

Reminder that weather permitting this coming Thursday October 1st will be our monthly weather siren test at 10am.
