Charles H. Stone Memorial Library Charles H. Stone Memorial Library is one of 13 public libraries in the Northwestern Regional Library CHARLES H.

STONE MEMORIAL LIBRARY is a member of the Northwestern Regional Library system which includes thirteen member libraries in Alleghany, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin counties of North Carolina. The library staff looks forward to serving you through our print resources and latest technology. NEXT CHAPTER BOOK SHOP is a small used book shop located on back side of the library next to the stairs on right hand side. It is staffed by volunteers so only open when they are available. Quality fiction books in hardback and paperback are available at low prices. Check for the signs outside that say The Book Shop is open.

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day at Hanging Rock State Park, Monday, October 12 from 11-2pm.
⭐⭐⭐
Enjoy interactive exhibits, historical artifacts, flintknapping demonstrations, games, and free canoeing on the lake. Get hands-on with family-friendly activities, such as making your very own corn husk doll. Delicious food trucks will be on site throughout the event, and there will be a cozy bonfire by the lake. Bring your friends and family and celebrate this day at Hanging Rock!
