VOTING EQUIPMENT CLARIFICATION – IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VOTERS
The County Clerk’s Office has been made aware of a post circulating on social media regarding claims of issues with voting equipment when making selections and being asked whether a voter wants a Democratic or Republican ballot.
We want to reassure voters that all voters should carefully review their ballot before casting their vote. If you notice any issues with your selections or have questions about your ballot, a poll worker will be glad to assist you before you cast your ballot.
Please be aware that once your ballot has been cast into the final tabulation machine, we are unable to make changes or assist with correcting selections.
Our election staff is well-trained and understands the voting process. During this General Election, voters will NOT be asked which party’s ballot they prefer. Choosing a Democratic or Republican ballot is a process that applies to Primary Elections, not General Elections.
