Great event!
The Town of Pinetops Advisory Board was happy to host and participate with a back to school event at the ballpark in Pinetops Event Center. The collaboration between the town staff, town advisory board members, the town administration, volunteers and coordinators proved to be a great success.
Special thanks to Tashae' Nicole for taking lead on this. Her passion for community, especially when dealing with our youth is amazing. We look forward to working with her in the future.

The Town of Pinetops Senior Leadership Team was able to acquire rubber mulch to put in the playground area of the town park. This mulch is expected to last 10 to 15 years and help promote a very safe experience for citizens of our community. We would like to think W&W Landscaping for the assistance with this and the town workers for their diligent work in getting this out today.

Please come out and enjoy the fun!

UPDATE

Our water has been restored and street is back open. Great job and a huge thank you to the town maintenance crew for their hard work in the hot sun.

All water has been restored with the exception of one house in the 600 block of W Hamlet. Crews are working to restore that one now W. Hamlet St. will still be closed from S. 11th St. to Van St. while the road is repaired.

Waterleak-
The water is shut off on W. Hamlet St. due to a leak. Customers on W. Hamlet from 7th St. to Van St. will be without water. As of now we do not have an estimated repair time. Update will be provided as crews work on this.

Power Outage-
At approximately 10:30 a.m. this morning there was a power outage. This was caused by a tree limb hitting a line in the Old Wilson Road area of Pinetops. By 10: 40 a.m. most of the power was back on. Some other residents experienced longer outages. Full power was restored by 12:00 p.m.
