Pinetown Volunteer Fire Department

October is Fire Prevention Month, and what better way to celebrate than by sharing important fire safety tips with fourth grade students at Terra Ceia Christian School!

We were excited to partner with the Beaufort County Fire Marshal’s Office to make this day a success! Working together allows us to educate our young learners about fire safety while building stronger relationships within our community.

A huge thank you to the Beaufort County Fire Marshal’s Office and Terra Ceia Christian School for helping make this such a great day!

Please join us in congratulating Doug Bissette on being sworn in as the President of the North Carolina State Firefighters’ Association!

Doug currently serves as Captain/Training Officer for our department, where his dedication to training, leadership, and the fire service is evident every day. His commitment to helping firefighters grow, learn, and be prepared to serve their communities makes this an incredible honor—and one that is so well deserved.

“Attitude reflects leadership.”

That motto truly embodies the way Doug approaches the fire service. His positive attitude, commitment to others, and willingness to lead by example have made an impact not only within our department, but throughout the fire service.

We are incredibly proud to call Doug one of our own and excited to see him take on this important statewide leadership role. We know he will represent our department, Beaufort County, and the fire service with integrity, passion, and a true heart for firefighters.

Congratulations, Doug! Your attitude, your leadership, and your dedication to the fire service have brought you to this moment—and we couldn’t be prouder! 🚒👏
