Access to hands-on robotics and AI learning can open new pathways for the next generation of engineers. Through an EPICS in IEEE and IEEE Robotics & Automation Society supported project, students from ITESO, Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara, together with faculty advisors and IEEE volunteers, developed RoboMeshA, a mobile robotics platform that brings immersive STEM experiences directly into classrooms. The initiative is helping bridge resource gaps while inspiring students through real-world technology applications. Read more: https://spectrum.ieee.org/epics-in-ieee-portable-educational

Students at BMS Institute of Technology and Management are using engineering to strengthen community resilience through SkyPulse, an IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society and EPICS in IEEE project that combines IoT sensors and satellite data to deliver real-time weather and environmental insights. Designed to support disaster preparedness, public health, and sustainability efforts, the system helps communities make informed decisions with localized data.
