This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’re coming together to support our community. 💜

We’re honored that the Piscataway Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Team (PDVCIT) brought their display to Westergard Library. The PDVCIT is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing support, education, and referrals to victims of domestic violence, serving the public since 1995.

Hosted by Piscataway Township, Piscataway Business Partnership, and the Piscataway Civil Rights Advisory Commission, join us this Saturday, October 10, for the Piscataway Multicultural Festival at Riverside Park! Enjoy live music and dancing, delicious international food, cultural displays, family activities, health and wellness resources, and more.

A look back at our Food for Thought exhibit reception! 🍽️💭

Last week, we gathered at Kennedy Library to celebrate the stories, memories, and traditions our community shared through the Food for Thought exhibit. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful celebration of food, culture, and connection!

The Food for Thought exhibit is on view at Kennedy Library through October, so there’s still time to stop by and explore the stories and memories shared by your friends and neighbors.

This exhibit is part of our Food for Thought project, made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities , a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this event do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities or the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.

Create something tiny but mighty! 🎨✨

Our Tiny Art Show is back, and you can join in on the fun! Pick up your own kit, complete with a tiny canvas, at Kennedy Library and create your own masterpiece.

All ages are welcome to participate. Artwork will be displayed from December 2026 through January 2027.

Completed pieces must be submitted to the Information Desk at Kennedy Library by Sunday, November 15. For more information about the kits, please contact the Information Desk.

That’s a wrap on Library Card Sign-Up Month! 🎉📚

We couldn’t let September end without a little help from the people behind the Library! Our staff had a great time being part of this month’s activities, and we hope you enjoyed following along with us.

There’s nothing better than a morning at the Library with the family! 📖

Families joined us for our Preschool Family Story Time, enjoying stories, crafts, and games throughout the morning at our Westergard branch. It was wonderful to see our youngest readers and their families enjoy a welcoming, fun-filled morning together. 😀

Library Card Sign-Up Month is still going strong! If your little reader doesn’t have a library card yet, there’s still time to get one and start making the Library part of their reading journey. And don’t forget to check our online calendar for upcoming events!

We've got a Friend in you! 🎶📚

We deeply appreciate the dedicated volunteers who make up the Executive Board of the Friends of Piscataway Public Library .

From funding the Museum Pass Program to supporting new furnishings, displays, and other library needs, the Friends play an important role in helping our library grow and thrive. Special thanks to them for their continued efforts through fundraising, book sales, and donations, which make a meaningful difference to our community.
