🚒 Firefighter Fact of the Day! ❤️

Did You Know?

A volunteer fire department is only as strong as the community standing behind it!

Our firefighters volunteer their time, leave their families, jobs, and homes to answer calls and help those in need. But keeping a fire department running takes more than firefighters. It takes community support!

From donations and fundraisers to volunteering, sponsoring, sharing our posts, or simply spreading the word, EVERY LITTLE BIT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE!

🔥 Your support helps us maintain equipment, purchase supplies, improve training, and be better prepared when someone needs us most.

We don't just serve this community. We are part of this community. And we need YOU!

❤️ Please consider supporting your Rosalie Volunteer Fire Department. Together, we can keep our community safer!

🚒 Small community. Big hearts. Stronger together!

🚒 Firefighter Fact of the Day: The Good Samaritan Law 🚑

Did you know that Good Samaritan laws may protect people who voluntarily help someone during an emergency?

If you witness a car accident, a medical emergency, or someone in distress, you may be able to help without fear of being sued for an unintended mistake, as long as you act within the protections of your state's law.

❤️ Remember these important tips:

Call 911 as soon as possible.

Help within the limits of your training and abilities.

Follow the dispatcher’s instructions.

Get consent from a conscious person before providing assistance when possible.

Never put yourself in danger while helping someone else.

🚒 Be a Good Samaritan. You could help save a life! ❤️

Remember, you don't have to be a firefighter to make a difference. Learning CPR, using an AED, or providing appropriate first aid while waiting for emergency responders can help save someone's life.

📢 Know the law: Good Samaritan protections vary by state and circumstance. In Alabama, state law provides certain protections for people who render emergency care in good faith, subject to the law's conditions and exceptions.

Rosalie Volunteer Fire Department reminds you: When an emergency happens, don't be afraid to call for help. A few minutes of action can make a lifetime of difference!

🚒 Firefighter Fact of the Day! 🔥

🚗 Did You Know? Never Drive Over a Fire Hose!

Fire hoses are built to handle high water pressure, but driving over them can damage the hose and put firefighters and the public at risk. Even if a hose looks tough, it can be damaged by a vehicle!

🧯 Fire Safety Tip: If you see fire hoses stretched across the road, slow down, follow firefighters’ directions, and never drive over a hose unless emergency personnel specifically direct you to do so.

❤️ Help us keep our firefighters safe while they work to protect you!
