Mahantongo Fire Co. Fire District 10

This past week we visited students at Mahantongo Valley Elementary School for Fire Prevention week. Students learned about how to safely charge their electronics, got to see the fire trucks, and also experienced the smoke trailer. Thank you to Tri-Valley Elementary for participating in fire prevention week every year!

For this month’s training members practiced drafting utilizing a dry hydrant. We have three dry hydrants in our first due area which are essential to our rural area without regular fire hydrants. Thank you to Big B Mfg for installing one and allowing us to use it for training!

Rhoda could always be counted on when we needed someone to take charge of something at the firehouse. She will be missed.
