At its October 19 meeting, the Chatham County Board of Commissioners recognized the month of November as Family Caregiver and Alzheimer's Awareness Month in Chatham County.

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter said it best.

"There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers and those who will need caregivers."

If you're currently a caregiver for a loved one, Aging Services stands ready to assist in this honorable role through a variety of programs and services:

-Family Caregiver Support Groups
-"Powerful Tools for Caregivers"
-Caregiver Respite
-Voucher Program
-Incontinence Supply Program
-Durable Medical Equipment Loan Program
-Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
