Yesterday, members of the Chatham EDC team attended the 79 West's Breakfast Club, featuring Chatham County Commissioner Franklin Gomez Flores in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

It was a great opportunity to hear from Commissioner Gomez Flores and learn more about his perspective on Chatham County and its continued growth. We value opportunities to connect with local government officials and community leaders, hear their perspectives, and remain engaged in the conversations shaping the future of Chatham County.

Thank you to 79 West for bringing the community together for another great breakfast and conversation.

Last week, members of the Chatham EDC team attended Central Carolina Community College’s Manufacturing Day Industry Showcase at the E. Eugene Moore Manufacturing and Biotech Solutions Center.

The annual event brings together manufacturing companies, educators, and students to highlight the industry and introduce the next generation to opportunities in manufacturing careers.

We appreciate CCCC’s continued work to connect students with local industry and strengthen the talent pipeline that supports our region’s manufacturing community.

Meet Antonio
McBroom, Chatham EDC Board Member.

Born and raised in Goldston, Antonio has always had a strong connection to Chatham County. For him, one of the best things about calling Chatham home is its people and the passion, care, and commitment they bring to the community.

As Founder, Visionary Developer, and CEO of PRIMO Partners, Antonio brings his experience and perspective to the Chatham EDC Board. Looking ahead, he’s excited about the level of leadership across Chatham County and the top-tier talent helping move the community
forward, from education and law enforcement to local government, economic development, and entrepreneurship.

For Antonio, serving on the Board is another way to stay connected to the community he calls home and help create opportunities for current and future Chatham Countians.

Great example of what can happen when Chatham County partners come together for a shared purpose.

The Chatham EDC team recently collected much-needed items for the
Chatham
County Partnership for Children’s KPL Adventure. Phillip
Thompson and Jace
L. Cox of the Chatham EDC were joined by Mrs. Pandora Paschal and the Chatham County Board of Elections, as well as Ms. Jenny Clark and Chatham County Parks and Recreation, to support this meaningful community initiative.

We’re proud to work alongside organizations and individuals who continue to show up for Chatham County’s children and families. Partnerships like these are a reminder that supporting our community is a team effort. We’re proud to be part of a community that
continues to show up for one another and invest in the place we call home.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the Chatham County Partnership for Children and the work they do to create opportunities for children and families across our community.

Chatham County showed up for Touch-A-Truck!

This past Saturday, families gathered at Mosaic at Chatham Park for a fun-filled day of big trucks, hands-on activities and plenty of opportunities to explore. The event brought together families, local organizations and community partners for a great day in Chatham County.

Chatham EDC was glad to be part of the day, with Project Manager Phillip Thompson helping with setup and Office Administrator Jace L. Cox supporting the event throughout the day.

Supporting events like Touch-A-Truck is one of the many ways we enjoy staying connected to the Chatham County community. We’re proud to support the organizations and events that bring people together, create opportunities for families and make Chatham County a great place to live, work and grow.

Thank you to the Chatham County Partnership for Children and everyone who helped make this year’s Touch-A-Truck a success!

Only 3% of Chatham County’s land is planned for industrial use.
That means 97% remains dedicated to other land uses, reflecting a deliberate approach to growth that balances economic opportunity with the preservation of Chatham County’s natural landscape and quality of place.
A strategic 3%. A green 97%.
