Judge Wright is excited to continue his education at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law (Duquesne University) this Fall!

For the past two years, the Lawyer of the Day (LOTD) program has changed our community for the better. Supporters of the program can proudly say LOTD has helped landlords recover more than $2.5M in arrears since it launched in October 2022, and more than $686,963 in 2024 and prevented more than 1600 Pittsburgh families from being evicted. Eviction hearings within participating courts have a 58% favorable outcome rate (withdrawn, settled, or dismissed) compared to the 14% favorable outcome rate seen historically in courts that do not have the LOTD program.

Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, our courts were informed that the program would be paused (presumably due to funding). Despite no longer having an attorney present from the program, our court will continue to prioritize fair and impartial proceedings.
