Today our firefighters teamed up with Kennedy Township, Neville Township, Coraopolis and East Carnegie Fire Departments to participate in elevator rescue training. Firefighters learned how to safely perform elevator rescue techniques in a multitude of situations. If you ever get stuck in an elevator, rest easy knowing these highly trained men and women are coming to help.

Last week at drill, Our firemen worked on getting our portable pumps ready for high water season.

These pumps provide versatility, allowing us to draft water from hard to reach water sources (such as ponds, lakes, streams) where our trucks cannot access. These are essential for ‘high water season’ as they help dewater flooded areas.

As the holiday season comes to a close, we want to wish everyone in our community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It is truly an honor to serve and protect Neville Island and nearby communities , and we are grateful for the continued support of our residents throughout the year.

We were proud to deliver food to families in need throughout our communities, alongside the Moon Township and Coraopolis Fire Departments.

Working together, we were able to help make the season a little brighter for local families.

Last night we hosted our annual holiday party for our residents, and it was another magical evening on Neville Island.

We’d like to give a special thank-you to the Neville Township Commissioners and Neville Green for partnering with us to make the night even more special!

It was great hearing the cheer echo through the fire hall as kids laughed, danced, and shared their wish lists with the Big Guy himself — Santa! 🎅✨

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our brother Vince Kerr Sr. We are sending an incredible amount of love and prayers to all of his family and friends who loved him deeply.
Rest easy brother, we’ll take it from here.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Active Firefighter Vince Kerr Sr.

Vince faithfully served with the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company for the past 6 years and dedicated an incredible 30 years to the fire service through his work with Avalon Volunteer Fire Company, Moon Township Volunteer Fire Company, Glenfield Volunteer Fire Company, and Groveton Volunteer Fire Company.

His commitment, leadership and friendship will never be forgotten. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Rest easy Brother we’ll take it from here.

With prayer for profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Amos Cameron to the emergency service community. Please pray for his family and friends during this difficult time, Amos, thank you for all the hard work and leadership You have provided too many EMS services and providers throughout your career .

Due to the weather conditions on Thursday, Neville Island's trick-or-treat will be Saturday, November 1 from 2 to 4 PM!
