Thank you to Saltworks Theatre for presenting "When Panic Attacks". The topic was relevant and well received by our students. During the question and answer portion, students stated that they could relate to the unrealistic pressure that social media brings. 💜🤍💜🤍

Thank you to PA Votes for another amazing Youth Huddle 2026. Our student leaders had an opportunity to meet elected officials and to tell them what they are concerned about. Our student leaders expressed their concerns about flock cameras, unsafe communities that they have to travel through, and community members who may have mental health/drug issues. All of our student leaders are registered to vote and excited to participate in November. 💜🤍🖤❤️

DAY 13 OF SOLIDARITY: Honoring Dennis Boyce

Today, we stand with Dennis Boyce, Alternative Education Assistant, Founder & Coach, Mentor, hailing from Homewood

Why We Stand With Him:
I honor this man because he has over 30 years of experience in alternative education. He has dedicated his whole life to ensuring that students attain their high school diploma and their academic needs are met. In addition, he has assisted families in attaining employment, housing, counseling, food, clothing, and anything else that would be a barrier to their child's education.

Mr. Boyce is the founder of Rise High Elite AAU Basketball. He has coached at Allderdice, Westinghouse, Colfax, and numerous youth programs. As a coach and mentor, he has provided students with an alternative to the 'street life.' In our community, we know that sports will save a student's life. His famous 'real' talks have encouraged students to consider positive avenues. He has sacrificed his personal time with his family to ensure that his students' needs are met.

Thank you, Brother Deniis, for your commitment, leadership, and service to Black men and boys across Allegheny County.
Registration is now open for our upcoming Day of Black Male Solidarity at www.ceapittsburgh.org/solidarity
