As my term on Allegheny County Council comes to a close, I wanted to share some thoughts about what we’ve accomplished the past four years:

This afternoon, I met with Councilman Elect Dan Grzybek to catch him up to speed with the ongoing legislation currently going through County Council. District 5 residents can rest assured the transition between us will be as easy and seamless as possible.

My statement following last night’s passage of Bills 12534-22 (Redistricting Reform)& 12741-23 (Right of Choice Trigger Law), and my introduction of Bill 12888-23 (ACE Commission Reform).

Earlier this year, I filed a complaint against Councilwoman At-Large Bethany Hallam to the ACE Commission regarding potential ethical violations surrounding an offer for an ALCOSAN Board Seat. Attached below is my statement on the findings of their investigation:

Last Tuesday, I had the distinct privilege of honoring one of our region’s longest standing and finest public servants, City Controller Michael Lamb.

Mike’s dedication to good government and transparency has made this city and county a much better place. I’m so grateful to all he’s given in service to our region, and wish him well on whatever comes next in his excellent career.

The Department of Public Works announced today that the Hundred Acres Manor parking lot adjacent to Hundred Acres Drive in South Park will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 27. The closure, which is expected to end in the spring, is required for milling and paving as well as a storm sewer replacement.
