My shred event on Saturday in Ross Township was a big success! I’d like to thank Ross Township Department of Public Works for always being a great host, , and Senator Lindsey Williams for co-hosting with me!

❗ If you’re concerned about rising utility costs, I encourage you to attend these hearings and make your voice heard. Two public input hearings on the proposed Peoples Natural Gas rate increase will take place on Wednesday, June 3 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Ross Township Municipal Building.

Public input matters, and this is an important opportunity for our residents to weigh in directly.

Investing in our parks and public spaces means investing in local families and kids. I’m excited to watch this new playground become a place where North Side families build community for years to come.

Eid Mubarak!

I was incredibly honored to accept the Laura Ditka Visionary Award from Pittsburgh Action Against R**e (PAAR) at this year’s Teal Ball. Supporting survivors of sexual violence and advocating for the resources that organizations like PAAR need to continue their vital work will always be a priority for me.

The Laura Ditka Visionary Award is the highest honor PAAR presents. The award is named for Laura Ditka, a prosecutor who served the community in that role for 25 years, focusing on protecting children. She founded the child abuse unit within the Allegheny County District Attorney’s office before moving to a position in the state Attorney General’s office where she prosecuted many high-profile cases, including lead prosecutor in the case against Penn State President Graham Spanier for his role in covering up the child sexual abuse committed by Jerry Sandusky. The Laura Ditka Visionary Award honors individuals whose work, like Ditka’s, creates lasting impact for survivors and advances the movement to end sexual violence.

Congratulations to Senator Lindsey Williams and Rep. Jessica Benham, who also received this award, and thank you to PAAR for all you do for survivors across our region.
