Happy Global Intergenerational Week!

This week is Global Intergenerational Week. We are highlighting one of our most popular programs- tech tutoring!

Meet Johnny. Johnny is a computer science major at the University of Pittsburgh. He is one of the many volunteers who provides technology tutoring services to AgeWell members, thanks to a partnership between iServe, a service program in Pitt’s School of Computing and Information, and AgeWell at the JCC Pittsburgh. Johnny got involved with this program because he enjoyed helping his grandfather, who is in a nursing home, navigate his Amazon Fire tablet. Johnny started volunteering with this program as a freshman and is now finishing up his senior year. He has found the work to be extremely meaningful and fulfilling, and is now determined to serve underrepresented groups for the rest of his life because of his time in the program.
