This week, Green Tree proudly honors Jim Welsch as our Weekly Military Honoree. Jim served our country with dedication and courage for 8 years; 4 years in the Navy and 4 years in the Coast Guard. We are grateful for his commitment, sacrifice, and service to our nation. Thank you, Jim, for your patriotism and for being an important part of our community.

Through our initiative, “Honoring Our Heroes: A Green Tree Borough Tribute to Our Active Military Members and Veterans,” we are inviting residents to nominate family members, friends, neighbors, and loved ones who have served in any branch of the military.

This special online tribute will be featured on the Borough’s website and updated weekly throughout Summer 2026. We encourage residents to participate by submitting nominations and helping us honor the heroes who make our community proud. Together, let us show our appreciation for the courage and service that strengthen Green Tree Borough every day.

ATTENTION:

The parking lot line painting scheduled for TODAY, Wednesday May 27, has been delayed due to weather conditions.

The parking lots will now be paved TOMORROW, THURSDAY MAY 28.

We will still be holding our Farmers Market in the park at 4:00pm.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:

Garbage and recycling in Green Tree will be delayed one day this week due to the holiday. Collection will be on THURSDAY, May 28.

The Green Tree Pool will be CLOSED on SATURDAY, MAY 23 due to cold temperatures. The Pool will be open on Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25, weather permitting.

Green Tree Park parking lots will be closed during the day on WEDNESDAY, MAY 27 for line painting.

GREEN TREE BOROUGH IS SEEKING A QUALIFIED INDIVIDUAL TO FILL THE POSITION OF CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

As Code Enforcement Officer responsibilities include routine, community wide inspections for the prevention, correction, and reduction of Building and Zoning Code violations, and any other municipal code or ordinance in place. Duties also include Mechanical Device collections, compiling a complete business listing, and dye test/lateral inspections. This position shall provide both in-office and in-field customer service and technical assistance as needed to Borough Management.

Successful candidate must possess or be able to obtain within six months of employment the following 29 – Building Code Official 18-Fire Inspector and National Association of Sewer Services Companies (NASSCO). The ability to work independently and apply excellent organizational and professional communication skills is essential.

It's finally time - the Green Tree Farmers Market is opening for the season TOMORROW, Thursday May 21! Join us at Green Tree Park from 4:00 - 7:00pm to shop for goodies from some of our wonderful local vendors.

Don't worry about making dinner plans... Mr. Bulgogi will be at the market tomorrow serving up some of their authentic Korean BBQ. Hills Snack Bar and Vital Sips will also be at the market for your snacks and drinks.
