BE SAFE - Stay cool and hydrated during this week's high temperatures.

β˜€οΈπŸš‘ Summer’s Hereβ€”Stay Safe, Penn Hills! πŸš‘β˜€οΈ
Today marks the first day of summer, and your Penn Hills Paramedics want to help you kick off the season safely!

As temps rise and outdoor activities ramp up, here are a few summer safety reminders from the guys that see it all:

πŸ”₯ Heat Safety: Stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade, and recognize the signs of heat exhaustion/stroke: dizziness, headache, nausea, and confusion to name a few.
🌊 Water Safety: Always swim with a buddy, supervise children closely, and wear life vests in, on or near open water. Always secure pool gates.
πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ Recreation Safety: Helmets save livesβ€”wear them when you're biking, skating or four wheeling.
πŸ” Grill Smart: Keep grills away from buildings, never leave them unattended, and check for damage and gas leaks.

We're ready 24/7, but we’d rather see you enjoying summer safely than needing an ambulance!

From all of us at Local 5167 β€” have a fun, safe, and healthy summer! 🌞πŸ’ͺ
