Allegheny Land Trust is a 501c3 land conservation nonprofit helping local people save local land in the Pittsburgh region since 1993. With community support, ALT permanently conserved Churchill Valley Greenway in 2021 and it is now stewarded by ALT and volunteers.

Today's the day! ALT's annual Day of Giving -- give before midnight and have your dollar doubled to support ALT's work in conserving land, maintaining and improving land's ecological health, providing environmental education to all ages in the classroom and on the land, and partnering with communities on conservation efforts.

It takes resources to pull off projects like conserving Churchill Valley Greenway, forming and implementing land management plans, and providing events to engage others in nature knowledge.

We hope you'll take this opportunity to support this work so we can keep it up! https://alleghenylandtrust.networkforgood.com/projects/104743-donate-to-allegheny-land-trust

TODAY! You can double your dollar for close-to-home conservation during our Day of Giving!

Since our founding in 1993, we've had the privilege to collaborate with more than 40 communities across our region to conserve nearly 4,000 acres of green space.

Our work has the power to transform communities and our region by protecting green spaces that enhance scenic beauty, provide close-to-home places for healthy recreation and environmental education, protect wildlife habitat, clean our air and water, and absorb stormwater to mitigate flash-flooding and landslides.

Together with your support, we can continue conserving our region’s land that is both nice to enjoy and necessary to protect.

We need your help! We hope you’ll donate during our September 19 to have your gift matched dollar-for-dollar by our Board of Directors.

NOTICE: Our Stewardship Team is assessing the large, downed branch of an Oak Tree that is blocking a paved trail at Churchill Valley Greenway. We are working with an arborist and expect to be able to remove the branch, treat the tree, and re-open the trail by the end of the month.

We recommend avoiding this trail and re-routing your planned walk. Please see the map screenshot for the location. Thank you for your patience as we work to address the situation.
