Earlier this week, our friend and leader Wayne Younger passed away.

Over the past several weeks, Wayne experienced unexpected and extremely severe medical issues. The speed with which these events unfolded has been heartbreaking.... for Wayne, for those who knew him, and most of all, for his family.

For the past five years, Wayne devoted himself to the work of OHM as Executive Director. His wisdom guided us, his love encouraged us, and his enthusiasm was contagious. He was a blessing to every aspect of our work, and our community.

Our hearts break, and go out.
Our prayers rise, and join with the prayers of all who loved him.
Our community gathers, aware of the hole his presence leaves, with gratitude for the chance to serve with him.
Our team recommits to the work, seeking to honor his legacy in our community.

Wayne, we love you, and we're filled with gratitude for you. We echo the words your wife quoted from Matthew's gospel, "Well done Good and Faithful servant."
