We talk a lot about priortizing your mental health in your daily life and in your relationships, but what does self-care look like in your online world? Curate your feed with uplifting voices, unfollow negativity, spread kindness and remember - social media is a highlight reel, not real life. ๐Ÿ’š

This weekโ€™s OCC Member Spotlight is Nancy Ho! โœจ

As the Outreach College Crewโ€™s Co-Event Coordinator, Nancy learned that mental health advocacy is most impactful when itโ€™s collaborative. She played a pivotal role in planning our fall Mental Health Open Mic Night and this springโ€™s Mental Health Carousel Rolling Social. Through these experiences Nancy says she discovered, โ€œLeadership isn't just about organizing; it's about creating safe, brave spaces where people feel empowered to share their stories and realize they aren't alone.โ€ ๐Ÿ’š

If youโ€™re an emerging professional between the ages of 18โ€“25 and looking to grow your leadership skills โ€“ while also making a difference in mental health advocacy โ€“ consider applying to the OCC!

For more than 50 years, Outreach has been proud to support the mental health and well-being of youth, young adults and families across the South Hills of Pittsburgh. As mental health needs continue to rise, we remain committed to providing affordable, accessible counseling and educational programs for those who need support. ๐Ÿซถ

We are currently accepting new clients and have immediate openings for sessions. OCC member spotlight #3 goes to Lily Simons! โœจ

You may recognize Lily from our 2024โ€“25 Outreach College Crew โ€” and weโ€™re so excited to have her back continuing to make an impact. ๐Ÿ’š

Lily joined the OCC with the goal of sharing accurate mental health information and inspiring others along their journey. Through her experience, sheโ€™s not only helped support her peers, but has also learned more about herself along the way.

One of the most important aspects of Outreach's work, according to Lily, is our efforts to destigmatize mental health. If this resonates with you โ€” and youโ€™d like to help continue spreading this mission โ€” consider applying today for the 2026-27 OCC.
