OCC member spotlight #3 goes to Lily Simons! ✨

You may recognize Lily from our 2024–25 Outreach College Crew — and we’re so excited to have her back continuing to make an impact. 💚

Lily joined the OCC with the goal of sharing accurate mental health information and inspiring others along their journey. Through her experience, she’s not only helped support her peers, but has also learned more about herself along the way.

Weekly resets aren’t just about cleaning, organizing, and meal prepping 🧺✨ They can also be a chance to check in on your mental health 💛

Evidence suggests a calm space supports a calmer mind, so if you benefit from habits that help you feel clean and organized, keep at them! But don’t forget to care for yourself emotionally, too 🧠🌿 Whether it’s journaling, resting, reflecting, or taking a mindful moment, small self-care habits matter.

And remember - There’s no “right” way to reset. You may like incorporating one mental health check-in moment to your daily routine, or perhaps it's easier to pick your favorite 3-4 and do them all on the same day. The best reset is the one that helps you feel your best each week 💫

Next up in our Outreach College Crew member spotlights is Isabelle Vicari! ✨

A psychology student at Point Park University, Isabelle was drawn to the OCC because of its mission to empower young voices to promote mental health awareness within the community.

Her goals when joining included strengthening her communication and professional skills, building meaningful friendships, and being part of a community focused on uplifting others. It presented an exciting opportunity to collaborate with her peers and hear new perspectives from others who share her passion for supporting mental wellness.

Together, we lifted our mission “Up, Up & Away” 💚 Thank you to everyone who supported and donated to this year’s Connections Gala!

Because of your generosity, we raised $150,000 to provide hundreds of subsidized counseling sessions and educational programs for community members across the South Hills of Pittsburgh.

While this year’s Connections Gala may be over, the impact of this incredible night will continue throughout the year ahead. Thank you for believing in Outreach and helping us fulfill our mission of providing affordable, accessible counseling for all.
