Will Pittsburgh finally regulate short-term rentals? Some North Siders are tired of waiting Short-term rentals through companies like Airbnb have proliferated across Pittsburgh's residential neighborhoods. Officials are proposing regulation— and some residents say time is of the essence.

Great news! The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue has EXTENDED the deadline for older residents and Pennsylvanians with disabilities to apply for rebates on rent + property taxes paid in 2025.

The new deadline is December 31st, 2026.
