This book details the history of Honey, reviews Honey Beekeepers tips, and through poetry and thoughtful thoughts the book serves as a Honey Heirloom Keepsake. Also, her new book Pittsburghโs Victoriaโฆ and all that is Gilded,โ a historical novel featuring Pennsylvania 19th century life. Presentations include actual local finds of historical displays and interactive lessons that coincide with the lecture topic.
Gretchen is the Director of The Pittsburgh Victorian Gibson Girls, a Victorian Ballroom Dancer and choir member. โBearing Fruit,โ is a 1910 showcase play of the famous turn-ofโthe- century Pittsburgh ladies, Nellie Bly & Evelyn Nesbit; the play written by Gretchen brings Victoriana alive where Nellie Bly interviews Evelyn Nesbit over conversation & tea.
Holds membership in Alle-Kiski Valley Historical Society and Museum as a Board of Director for 16 years; Editor of Derry Area Historical Society Newsletter for 2 years; Climate Reality Leadership Corps Leader; Beekeeping Instructor; Horse Show Judge and Latrobe Art League. Active Community Volunteer.
Gretchen has been a student of the Victorian Era for half a century, born near the sites of the Worldโs First International Industrial Corporations of America: Alcoa Aluminum and International Steel Corporation of America aka Allegheny Ludlum Steel, she spent many days in surrounding herself in the 19th Century history
