Doing my part on this Veterans’ Day! Wills for Heroes Pennsylvania

Thanks to Wills for Heroes Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Young Lawyers for organizing today’s event! Lots of estate docs were notarized for our area’s first responders!

Tomorrow I will be doing volunteer notary work for Wills for Heroes Pennsylvania at Penn Hills VFD #7. Stop in and say hello.

I am on vacation from August 1 through and including August 12. I will have no access to emails or voicemails while I am away.

As a notary, I can refuse to notarize a document for any reason. This is not reflection on the customer and is not personal. It is a professional decision on my part. Some documents, such as Penndot documents that involve vehicle transfers, I am not permitted to notarize because I am not a Penndot notary. Other documents, such as self-drafted custody and divorce agreements, or other self-drafted affidavits, I will refuse to notarize because they should be reviewed by a lawyer prior to ex*****on. This is for your protection, as well as mine.
