🌿 From Garden to Kitchen: Chef Yianni’s Favorite Stop
There's something special growing in our courtyard at Whitetail Springs. From tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, strawberries, basil, rosemary, dill, and mint to beautiful flowers that attract butterflies and pollinators, our garden is bursting with life.
One of Chef Yianni’s favorite stops is right here in the garden, where he can gather fresh herbs and enjoy the beauty of the season. Surrounded by colorful blooms, our butterfly garden, and the peaceful sounds of the waterfall, this space offers so much more than fresh ingredients—it provides joy, connection, and a place for everyone to enjoy nature's beauty.
It's just one of the many ways we bring the outdoors in and make every day heathier and a little more meaningful.

⭐ Meet Our Shining Star, Jess! ⭐
We are so excited to recognize Jess as our Shining Star! For the past 2.5 years, she has been a constant source of support, kindness, and dedication at Whitetail Springs. Whether she's helping in the kitchen, serving residents, assisting with events, or jumping in wherever she's needed, Jess always does it with a smile and a caring heart.
Her willingness to help others, incredible work ethic, and dependable nature make a difference every single day. Jess is truly the definition of a team player, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our Whitetail Springs family.

Weekend vibes at Whitetail Springs ☀️
Sometimes a picture says everything.
A beautiful morning in the courtyard, a warm cup of coffee, time spent in the garden, and the company of good friends. The smiles on these faces tell the story better than words ever could.
This isn't just where our residents live—it's their home. A place filled with friendships, laughter, comfort, and people who care about one another.
A special thank you to Tara Moore for volunteering her time to help with our garden. We're all excited to see our strawberry plants growing! 🍓
These are the days that remind us just how lucky we are to call Whitetail Springs a family.

The Longest Day represents the long journey faced by those living with Alzheimer's and dementia, as well as the families who love and support them. It is a day to honor their strength, cherish their memories, and remind them they are never alone.
Join us June 18th for our Alzheimer's Longest Day Luau. Wear your favorite Hawaiian attire, celebrate with us, and help shine a light on a cause that touches so many hearts.
We hope you'll join us in honoring your loved ones and supporting those walking this journey every day. 💜🌺

A visit to a loved one in memory care does not have to be long to be meaningful. Sometimes the most powerful thing is simply showing up and being present. 💝
Families play a genuinely important role in the wellbeing of memory care residents. Sharing a meal together, joining in a music session, looking through old photographs, or simply sitting quietly side by side. These moments remind a resident that they are loved, known, and not forgotten.
If you are unsure how to spend time with a loved one in memory care, the care team is always a wonderful resource. They know what activities bring comfort, what time of day tends to be most settled, and how to help visits feel easier for everyone. You do not need to have a plan. Just being there is enough.

Yesterday’s breakfast looked like something straight out of a four-star brunch café. ✨
Caramelized cinnamon sugar French toast topped with fresh berries candied in lemon juice — a dish that tastes just as beautiful as it looks. Chef Yianni once again brought elegance, flavor, and creativity to the table at Whitetail Springs. 🍓🫐
Just one look says it all. Four-star breakfast dining at its finest.

Creative engagement is not a luxury in memory care. It is one of the most effective ways to reach, comfort, and connect with a person living with dementia. 💙🌸
A few reasons why music and creativity matter so much:
🎵 Music can unlock memories that other methods cannot, reaching deep into long-term recall
🎵 Familiar songs reduce agitation and create an immediate sense of calm and recognition
🎵 Singing, clapping, or moving to music offers gentle physical engagement without pressure
🎵 Art and craft activities provide a sense of purpose, achievement, and self-expression
🎵 Creative sessions encourage social interaction in a low-pressure, enjoyable setting
🎵 Engagement through creativity helps residents feel seen, valued, and capable
🎵 These experiences bring genuine moments of joy that families can share during visits too
When words become difficult, creativity often finds a way through. 💙
