Erin Molchany currently serves as State Representative for the 22nd house district. Unfortunately during redistricting Representative Molchany's seat was moved across state and she is now looking to run i

n the 36th. Here’s a little bit about Erin:

While working her way through college at Duquesne University, Erin decided early to dedicate her life to helping others. At the Emergency Services Department of the American Red Cross’s Southwestern PA Chapter she learned the importance of bringing people and communities together in difficult times. Following graduation from Duquesne University in 1999, Erin embarked on a 12- year career as a non-profit professional. Prior to serving in the House of Representatives, Erin served as Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP). At PUMP she worked to connect young and talented people to jobs in Pittsburgh. Throughout her career, Erin has also served the community in various leadership capacities:
• Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership’s (GPNP) Public Policy Committee
• Judge of Elections
• Democratic Committeewoman (19th Ward, 6th District)
• Vice President of the Mt. Washington Community Development Corporation Board of Directors

Representative Molchany owns a home in Pittsburgh’s Mt. Washington neighborhood where she has lived and served for the past 18 years. As a state legislator serving Pittsburgh’s South Hills communities, her priorities include securing Pennsylvania’s infrastructure by sustainably investing in transportation and mass transit, strengthening our commitment to public education, encouraging job creation and expanding training opportunities to meet the needs of a 21st century economy. During her tenure in the House, she has introduced and is working collaboratively with colleagues to advance common-sense legislation including:

• HB 1890 – Workplace Opportunity Legislation – equal pay for equal work
• HB1222 – Financial Assistance/Access to community college students
• The proposed Physician Separation Disclosure Act

Representative Molchany looks forward to continuing to fight for the issues that matter to Pittsburgh’s South Hills communities.

There are only 30 hours until the polls open and there is still more to do before the votes are tallied!

Do your part for and stop by our office at 2615 Brownsville Rd to make some GOTV Calls or knocks during the day or join us at the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, 10 S. 19th Street starting at 6 for phone calls and door knocking!
