๐Ÿš’ Community Strong ๐Ÿš’

We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to our friends at Sri Venkateswara Temple Pittsburgh FB official Site (SV Temple) for their incredible generosity and support of our department and community.

Through their kindness and commitment, they have funded graciously purchased a thermal imaging droneโ€”a powerful tool that will significantly enhance our ability to protect and serve. This technology will assist public safety in and around Penn Hills with locating missing persons, identifying hot spots at fires, improving situational awareness, and increasing safety for both responders and the public. With this tool, we will be able to assist our public safety partners, Penn Hills Police and any other mutual aid agencies that would need assistance.

This was no small contribution. Their willingness to invest in such an important and costly project speaks volumes about their dedication to the well-being of our community.

Because of their generosity, we are better equipped, better prepared, and better able to respond when our residents need us most. Training is ongoing, and each operator will be certified to FAA standards. This drone is equipped with cellular capabilities and is only limited to battery life (54mins each battery).

Please join us in thanking the Sri Venkateswara Temple for making a lasting impact on public safety.

๐Ÿ‘ Together, we make our community stronger.
