π Congratulations to MEE Productions and the Connect Protect Recover campaign on receiving a prestigious Telly Award for the SUD Recovery Education 101 video series!
We are especially proud that Sojourner House Executive Director De'netta Benjamin-Miller was featured as a substance use disorder and recovery expert throughout this important educational series. Her insights help shine a light on the realities of addiction, the power of recovery, and the importance of compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.
This recognition highlights the impact of community education in reducing stigma, increasing understanding, and connecting people to the support they need. We are grateful to be part of a collaborative effort that amplifies recovery voices and promotes hope throughout our region.
π Congratulations to everyone involved in creating this award-winning resource and advancing the conversation around recovery, healing, and family wellness.

The mother in this powerful PSA from the Ad Council is not defined by her substance use. She is defined by her courage to seek.
At Sojourner House, we meet women at that moment, when they are ready for a different future for themselves and their children. Every day, mothers like the one in the PSA find hope, healing and support through our family-centered recovery program. Recovery is possible and families can heal together π

π Pride Month is a time to celebrate authenticity, resilience, and community.
It's also an opportunity to recognize the unique challenges many LGBTQ+ individuals face. National research shows that LGBTQ+ adults experience substance use disorders at higher rates than their heterosexual peers, often due to discrimination, stigma, trauma, and barriers to affirming healthcare.
At Sojourner House, we believe recovery begins with compassionate, person-centered care. Every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, supported without judgment, and welcomed into a community where they can heal and thrive.
This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength of LGBTQ+ individuals in recovery and reaffirm our commitment to creating pathways to hope, healing, and belonging for all. π³οΈβπ
