Our staff picks for May continue with Jennifer's choice, The Victoria Vanishes, by Christopher Fowler:
Every time I re-read the Peculiar Crimes Unit series, I notice new details about the history of London and its neighborhoods. "The Victoria Vanishes" is the middle of the series, but it is a good introduction to the eccentric characters. We have this book at at CCM Forest Hills, yet I particularly enjoy the audiobook, which is offered on Hoopla.

Last year's Block Party was a blast, and we can't wait for you to see what we have planned this year!
Join us from 4-7 p.m. on June 9 at the Westinghouse Lodge in Forest Hills, located at 799 Barclay Ave. Entrance and all activities are 100% FREE.
Look forward to a wide variety of arts & crafts, carnival games, science experiments, movement activities and fun for all ages supplied by our community partners.
