Nothing says "the school year is almost over" quite like Field Day! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Ross Elementary students brought the energy, teamwork and plenty of smiles for a day of fun — thankful that the rain held off! ☀️🙌

Happy Mother’s Day! 💐 In celebration of all the amazing moms today — and dads ahead of Father's Day on June 21 — Alyssa Cerminara's kindergarten class at Ross Elementary hosted “Pastries with Parents” on Friday. From sweet treats to even sweeter smiles, it was a deliciously fun morning filled with love, laughter and special memories! 🍩🧁❤️

Ross Elementary students in Caitlin Murtha's K-2 class recently enjoyed a thoughtfully planned, community-based field trip to Cinemark North Hills and XD in McCandless Crossing.

Organized by student teacher Taylor Eannace, the trip gave students meaningful opportunities to build confidence and practice real-world skills in a supportive, engaging setting. Students watched The Super Mario Bros. Movie and then continued their outing with a visit to McDonald's.

Throughout the day, students participated in age-appropriate social interactions, practiced decision-making, and explored how to navigate community spaces, important components of their learning and development. A special shoutout to the Cinemark staff for their exceptional kindness and accommodations! 🫶

After learning all about different community helpers, Ross Elementary kindergarteners had a Career Dress-Up Day last Friday! Look at all the future chefs, bakers, firefighters, police officers, teachers, nurses, doctors, construction workers and vets! 🧑‍🍳🧑‍🚒👮🧑‍⚕️👷‍♂️ We are !

Tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Ross auditorium, our talented third graders will take you on a musical journey through the decades — hopping from one iconic era to the next with songs, energy and plenty of personality. 🕺🎤 We hope to see you there!

Snow much fun! ❄️ Students in Mrs. Richardson’s, Mrs. Murtha’s and Mrs. Kozak’s classes took advantage of the recent snow with an afternoon of sledding and outdoor fun, creating meaningful opportunities to practice social skills, build connections and experience learning beyond the classroom. ☃️❤️
