Shortly before 7am this morning the 1st alarm was struck for an oven fire in the borough. The engine crew along with 260 Truck, and 247 Engine arrived in minutes to find moderate smoke conditions and fire from the A and B sides of the residence. Initial search, ladder placement by the truck company, and line placement occurred simultaneously by the 1st arriving crews. Multiple agencies from the north hills remained on scene until almost noon. The fire is currently under investigation by the Allegheny County Fire Marshals office.
Unfortunately the resident of the home and his children lost a considerable about of belongings and the home is now inhabitable. Please see the Millvale police departments social media pages for detail on donations.
