Explaining how I make Echo Prints takes a whole lot of words~so I thought I’d show you the process in short video! (Thanks .desailes for your help in making it:) Sometimes I add a couple of different tweaks but this is the basic process, and it takes two days from start to finish, to complete a set of cards. Hope you enjoy watching! ~ 🌸Tracy

A peek into an Echo Printing day! It actually takes two days from start to finish, and I forgot to take photos of Day Two! (Ironing the finished prints, and cutting insert papers) Thought you’d like to see a glimpse into my lil’ kitchen studio!

Getting some cards ready to deliver to Mort’s Fresh & Local, here in Pittsburgh! I’m dreaming of spring and in the meantime, using plants from Trader Joe’s, and some of my house plants! Even herbs cannot escape…🤭💚 I’m working on my website, but it’s not quite ready, can’t wait to share it with you though! 😊 If you want a special (FRAMEABLE;) card for Valentine’s Day, handmade by me, you know where to go! ♥️Tracy

Today is Groundhog Day, and Punxsutawney Phil has just declared that there will be six more weeks of winter. I’m wondering if there’s ever less than six weeks of winter on February 2 here in Pennsylvania? Doubtful…
But one thing that is for sure, is that I miss PLANTS. Right now they are buried under a whole lot of snow, here in Pittsburgh, and while it is a comfort, knowing that they will do what it says in Isaiah, and make the Earth bring forth and bud, it can be hard to wait!
Until then, my houseplants are a necessary touch of LIFE in this deep freeze! I’m enjoying a beautiful magenta orchid in my dining room room window, and a pothos plant trailing gracefully down my Hoosier cabinet. I have to keep trimming him back or he’d have taken over the dining room by now! I named “him” D’Artagnan a few years back, when I added a fourth Pothos plant to the Three Musketeers that I already had.
Another little plant curiosity that I’ve been enjoying is something called a rose of Jericho. Have you ever seen one? A friend who knows I enjoy plants, gifted it to me. One day she handed me a little brown bag with a curious object in it. She said, “put it on a little dish and give it a bit of water, and you’ll see what happens!”
I used time lapse photography to watch this little brown tumbleweed of a thing open up into an interesting sort of flower! Every few days I give it some water, and I watch it come back to life. I can see why it’s alternate name is Resurrection Plant! Love that.
I think I’m going to have to purchase a couple of bouquets of flowers this week to enjoy and then turn into something a bit more lasting. I’ve been wanting to see what rose petals will do when I make Echo Print cards, and I’m also thinking of another flower I frequently see in bouquets, the lovely Alstroemeria. Be on the lookout for some new valentine inspired cards coming soon!
Until then, if you live anywhere near where I live, stay warm… And surround yourself with a few pretty house plants to remind you that spring isn’t really that far away! Xo Tracy
