Severe (G4) Geomagnetic conditions have been observed.

Along with the severe risk, we can't forget about the ongoing/possible flooding from multiple rounds of heavy rain today. The Flood Watch has been expanded northward to include several more counties in PA, and flooding is already in progress in OH/northern WV panhandle. Remember: DO NOT DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED ROADS!

REMAIN WEATHER AWARE! There has been no significant change to the severe weather risk for today. Large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes are all possible today. Areas west of Pittsburgh are under the largest threat for today, especially in Ohio. We'll be posting more details on timing later this morning.
Also, the risk of flooding remains high as well for locations near and south of I-80. The Flood Watch has been expanded northward to include Beaver, Butler, Armstrong, and Indiana Counties. We'll post updated information on that soon as well.
Be sure to have *multiple* ways to receive weather warnings later today. Figure out NOW where you will shelter if warnings are issued for your area!

Showers and thunderstorms will develop out ahead of an approaching cold front this evening into tonight. A few storms could become strong with damaging winds the main threat. A tornado can't be ruled out with the amount of shear in place. Instability will be a limiting factor. Arrival tonight will be between 8pm and 11pm with rainfall amounts of the entire event around 0.75 to 1.00 inch.
