Youth Empowerment Project of Sharpsburg provides out-of-school activities, homework help and summer Students participate in age-specific programming.

Kindergarten through 5th graders enroll in All Of Us Care. Sixth-eighth graders enroll in Middle Mania. High school students participate in EmpowerU. YEP also offers a Scholarship Fund and Main Street Screen Works, a student-run screen printing operation. Please see "Our Story" for more information.

Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania (VOAPA) would like to give a shoutout to Senator Lindsey Williams and team for their visit to Volunteers of America: Youth Empowerment Project's Open House!

Attendees were able to interact with Senator Williams and find out what their representatives and the YEP program can assist them with in their communities in Southwest PA.

This holiday season, Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania (VOAPA) is celebrating days of gratitude leading up to the New Year! We have so much to be thankful for, and today, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Armada Supply Chain Solutions for their generous donation to the Southwest PA region through VOAPA’s Holiday Toy Drive!

The Holiday Toy Drive is in full swing across Pennsylvania, and we need your help! You can still can help create magical moments for individuals and families in need this holiday season by making a monetary donation.

Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) is now enrolling K-12 students for the 2024-25 school year! Serving the Southwest region of PA, YEP is a free out-of-school time, providing enriching activities, homework help, arts & crafts, snack & meals, teen job opportunities and much more! Limited transportation is available for students on the east side of Pittsburgh. 🖍🎒✏️🎨

This month, Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania’s (VOAPA) Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) campers spent the day at Kennywood amusement park! Counselors and campers alike enjoyed rides, games, food and more!

Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania continues its’ mission to support youth in Southwest, PA. In addition to providing free summer camp, YEP provides a scholarship program, after school activities and more! This summer our YEP (Youth Empowerment Project) campers spent time expressing their creativity under the instruction of the amazing Hez Poole at Ketchup City Creative, one of Pittsburgh’s premier galleries. A round of applause to all who made this experience possible! Campers will be enjoying and honing their artistic skills all summer at the The Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) camp.
