The park survey will be closing on June 8, so if you haven’t had a chance to complete it yet, there’s still time!

Our goal is to gather as many responses as possible so the results truly reflect our community’s vision for future development. Please share your ideas and priorities so that we know what is most important to you.

We’ve received an incredible response so far and would love to hear from even more of you before the survey closes. Thank you to everyone who has already participated and shared their input!

We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing teamwork and coordination that made last week’s tree planting event such a success!

With the guidance of Tree Pittsburgh's One Tree Per Child program, the Avonworth 3rd grade students worked alongside township staff, volunteers from University of Pittsburgh’s environmental stewardship service club Epsilon Eta Delta, teachers, and parent volunteers to plant 60 new trees in the park as part of our ongoing reforestation efforts.

In addition to planting new trees, students also helped beautify the park by caring for existing trees and mulching flower beds. It was great to see their hard work and enthusiasm in action!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our park greener, healthier, and more beautiful!

Less than a month until the 5th Annual Jr. Games this June and we have a sneak peek at the gear!

Here's a first look at the 2026 Jr. Games t-shirt and the championship medals that athletes will be competing for. Shirts are available while supplies last, so register soon to ensure you get one!

Custom medals are earned at the event, so start honing those skills now!

Event starts at 10am on June 13th for kids ages 6–12.

We’re also looking for VOLUNTEERS! This is a great opportunity for high school athletes to earn volunteer hours while helping younger competitors navigate the stations.

What has become one of our favorite spring traditions, Ohio Township once again partnered with Avonworth’s Key Club for an early Earth Day roadside cleanup along Lowries Run and Camp Horne Road on Tuesday, April 21st! A dedicated group of 28 students volunteered their morning to help collect litter and keep our community (and future park) looking its best.

We extend our sincere thanks to Avonworth’s Key Club members for their time, energy, and commitment to service. Their efforts made a meaningful impact, and we are grateful for their continued partnership in caring for our community!

It’s too beautiful of a day not to give our egg hunters a little extra time! We’re extending the deadline so you now have until the end of the day today (instead of 12 PM) to find all 12 eggs and submit your riddle answers.

Winners will still be chosen tomorrow. Good luck, and happy hunting!

More info about the Scavenger Egg Hunt can be found on our website at www.ohiotwp.org/egghunt.
