The Allegheny County Health Department has launched Allegheny County’s next Community Health Assessment. A community health assessment gives local health departments like the health department comprehensive information about the community’s current health status, needs, and issues.

When the study is complete, the assessment will serve as a living document of community health data to be used by local organizations and residents to support decision-making, grant-making, and health improvement strategies in Allegheny County. The assessment will be used to design the next Community Health Improvement Plan also known as the Plan for a Healthier Allegheny, which will outline goals and strategies to improve the health and well-being of all Allegheny County residents.
