http://power-recovery.com More than 23 million Americans suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction, but only 11% receive treatment.

Women are the fastest-growing segment of substance users in the United States, with an estimated 2.7 million women abusing drugs or alcohol. Most women (66-90%) in treatment report histories of trauma, which may include domestic violence, early childhood sexual assault, physical abuse or neglect, loss of a child, or other traumatic experiences. Our staff is trained to understand the impact of trauma on recovery and our care reflects that understanding.

✨ Recovery Creates a Ripple Effect ✨

When one woman enters recovery, the impact extends far beyond her own life. Healing reaches families, strengthens relationships, inspires coworkers, and brings hope to entire communities.

Every step toward recovery creates new possibilities—not just for one person, but for everyone around her. At POWER, we witness these ripple effects every day as women rebuild their lives and create brighter futures for themselves and their loved ones.

Recovery changes lives. Recovery changes communities. 💜

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, this year’s Purple Party welcomed over 300 attendees and raised more than $120,000 to support POWER’s mission. Because of this support, more people will be able to find recovery and healing—just like the individuals featured in our “This Is What Recovery Looks Like – 2026” video.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, and volunteered to make the evening such a success. Your impact goes far beyond one night—it helps create real pathways to recovery, hope, and renewed lives for women in our community.

"Recovery isn’t easy, but POWER made sure I never have to do it alone." 💜

Recovery is a journey filled with challenges, victories, and moments that remind us why support matters. No one should have to walk that path alone. At POWER, we believe connection, community, and compassionate care can make all the difference.

Every story of recovery is a reminder that healing happens together. If you or someone you love needs support, help is here.

Maury and Peggy Heidish are a married couple volunteer team. Maury takes POWER House women to the library every week, and Peggy is one of our volunteer receptionists. We are grateful for both of them!
