Happy Social Work Month to my fellow social workers!

I know how much you pour into every single day. We are undervalued, underpaid, and overworked but we still show up. For the families, the kids, and the ones who have nobody else in their corner… We carry stories that never leave us and still walk back through that door tomorrow.

This month is for YOU. You are changing lives whether the world recognizes it or not.

To every social worker out there I appreciate you and you matter!

A gentle reminder that pushing through has consequences.

When we override our limits, it often shows up as irritability, emotional exhaustion, and changes in how we relate to the people we care about. Many don’t recognize these signs until burnout is already present.
Rest, self care, and self compassion are not selfish they are essential components of the healing process. It’s a necessary step in supporting emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and sustainable way of living.

As a therapist based in Pennsylvania, I help folks work through this. Whether that’s processing guilt, building healthier boundaries, coping skills, or learning to celebrate small wins along the way.
