House Bill 1834, approved by the state House with bipartisan support in March, is the first major legislation addressing data center development in Pennsylvania. This bill would protect consumers from energy cost increases due to data center development, while leveraging clean generation and new technologies to make our energy system more reliable and resilient.

We need your help to ensure HB1834 is approved by the Senate.

The National Road Heritage Corridor and seven other partner organizations, including PEC, have launched a major regional planning effort for the Parkersburg to Pittsburgh (P2P) Corridor. This is an important project that, when complete, will provide a fully connected 180-mile trail system from Parkersburg, WV to Connellsville, PA.

Already a State and National Heritage Area, The Schuylkill River has become the first and currently only designated National Water Trail in Pennsylvania! Currently, there are 40 officially designated NWT across the United States.

Registration for the 2026 Environment Ride is officially open! 🎉

This year’s ride will be held in Bethlehem, PA from Friday, October 16 – Sunday, October 18. Along the way, we plan to see Bethlehem’s historic steel mill and enjoy a happy hour at the Steel Stacks complex.
