Today, Friday, October 23rd marks 7 years since El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian “Ish” Ishmael gave his life in the line of duty.

Deputy Ishmael was killed in the line of duty in 2019. Deputy Ishmael and his ride along were answering a call for service of a robbery from a ma*****na garden. When they approached the grow, a man opened fire shooting both Deputy Ishmael and the San Joaquin County deputy. Both deputies were able to return fire and injure the suspect, however Deputy Ishmael sustained fatal injuries.

Deputy Ishmael was 37 years old, a four-year veteran with El Dorado County
Sheriff’s Office and previously served two years with the Placerville Police
Department. He was survived by his wife and three children.

If you had the honor of meeting Brian, please take a moment to pause and remember who he was, not only as a Deputy for the Sheriff's Office, but him as a father, brother, son and a friend.

Placerville CHP is joining the Staff Sergeant Sky Mote Marine Corps League #697 today at the Placerville Veterans Memorial Building for a Toys for Tots toy drive and motorcycle show!

Bring a new, unwrapped toy and help make the holidays brighter for a local child. 🎁

We’ll be here until 1 p.m. Come say hello, check out the motorcycles, and bring a toy!

The Placerville CHP is joining Marshall Medical for their Annual Health Fair at the Georgetown Divide Wellness Center!

CHP, El Dorado County Public Health, and Safe Steps 4 Kids will be on hand for a Child Passenger Safety Seat Checkup to help make sure your child’s seat is properly installed and being used correctly.

Officer Whitley and Caltrans crews came across these two pups on US-50 near Ridgeway Drive in Po***ck Pines.

They’re safe, sound, and now in good hands with El Dorado County Animal Services. ❤️🐶🐶
