Let our students take care of dinner! 🍽️

At Foothill Grill at El Dorado High School, culinary students work alongside Chef Mike Inks to prepare three-course takeout dinners for our community while building skills for careers in the culinary industry.

Here’s a delicious example from a recent menu:
🥗 Mixed greens with apples, croutons, sharp cheddar, and apple c***r vinaigrette
🍝Grilled vegetable and three-cheese lasagna with garlic herb bread and sautéed vegetables
🍋 Lemon chiffon cake with lemon glaze and whipped cream

Every order gives our students another opportunity to practice their craft and share their talents! All money from meal purchases goes directly back into supporting the culinary program.

Meals are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays for $15 each during the school year, with menus changing weekly. For upcoming menus and ordering information, email [email protected].

Every student deserves a cheering section. Every student deserves to belong. ⚽

This morning, students from across our district’s high schools joined students from the county program for Unified Sports soccer, filling the field with teamwork, high-fives and joy!

Unified Sports brings students of different abilities together as teammates, building friendships and creating opportunities to compete, connect and support one another. Today, that spirit was on full display with every goal scored, every encouraging word and every celebration shared.

Celebrating One of Our Own on the World Series Stage! ⚾💙💛

Oak Ridge High School alumnus Robert Gasser is making his hometown proud as he takes the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers on baseball’s biggest stage!

His journey is a testament to hard work and the support of the coaches, teammates, and family who have been part of his story. What a special moment for our community!

Diamondback pride, personalized!

Today, a group of Union Mine High School students gathered in the library during Priority to make their own keychains and magnets.

With designs celebrating athletics, academics, and visual and performing arts, students had plenty of ways to showcase their interests and school spirit.

Thank you to the UMHS library team for creating an opportunity for students to connect, get creative, and celebrate what makes them proud to be Diamondbacks!

Learning from history and from one another! 🌎📚

Students in Mrs. Munz-Luther’s AP World History class at Union Mine High School gathered in the library to share their Mongol projects in small groups. Through their presentations, students practiced historical thinking skills while explaining their learning and listening to their classmates.

A great opportunity to build both critical thinking and communication skills!

Our students’ future deserves a plan shaped by the community that supports them.

On October 5 and 6, EDUHSD brought together students, parents, teachers, classified staff, administrators, Board members, and community partners to help develop our next five-year strategic plan.

Together, participants explored our district’s strengths, discussed where we can grow, and identified shared priorities for our students. Each perspective brought something important to the conversation, helping connect the work ahead to the needs and hopes of our school communities.

These collective voices are helping shape a plan that will guide decisions, resources, and opportunities for students over the next five years.

Thank you to everyone who shared their time, ideas, and experiences to help move our district forward! We look forward to sharing the completed plan with our community in early 2027!

🌹Creativity meets career preparation at Ponderosa FFA Floral !

Under Mrs. Haley’s guidance, students gain hands-on experience operating a floral business, combining art and design with problem-solving, business skills and exploration of careers in the floral industry. All proceeds go right back into the program, helping fund materials and continued student learning.

🎶 Celebrating our student musicians!

Oak Ridge, Ponderosa and Union Mine high schools represented EDUHSD at the Oak Ridge Field Show on October 17, bringing their music and school spirit to a full evening of marching band performances!

Congratulations to all three ensembles:
🥇 Oak Ridge earned first place in Class 4A with a score of 79.1.
🥈 Ponderosa earned second place in Class 1A with a score of 66.4.
👏 Union Mine earned fourth place in Class 1A with a score of 61.9.

Behind every performance are hours of rehearsal, careful coordination and students working together. We are proud of our musicians and color guard performers, and grateful to the directors, instructors, families and volunteers who support them.

A special thank-you to Oak Ridge for hosting and welcoming visiting bands to our district!

A Hall of Fame honor for Oak Ridge’s own!

Please join us in congratulating Steve White, who was recently inducted into the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Hall of Fame for coaching! This honor recognizes exceptional accomplishments and lasting contributions to high school athletics.

During three decades leading Oak Ridge High School’s girls basketball program, Coach White recorded more than 700 wins, guided the Trojans to four section championships and brought home the 2010 CIF Division I state championship.

His contributions to Oak Ridge also extended into the classroom and across its athletic programs through his service as a math teacher and athletic director. His career reflects years of dedication to students, his school and the game he loves.

We are proud to celebrate Coach White and this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations from all of us at EDUHSD! 💙💛
