We said good-bye to Schuyler and Rebecca today. They finished some indoor filming and headed back home. The preview party was such fun and we had many laughs. Thanks for coming to Plainfield and featuring our community on "Our Hometown" - Air date for the finished program is scheduled November.

Maxfield Parrish will have a dedicated gallery at the new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles.

Opening September 22, 2026, the museum was founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson to explore storytelling through images—from illustration and painting to comics and film.

Here in Plainfield, we have our own connection to that history: the 1916 Maxfield Parrish Stage Set inside Plainfield Village Town Hall.

Maxfield Parrish would often build models of what he was painting and experiment with various lighting. The detail on this model is amazing. This is the Freeman Farm located below his property, The Oaks, in Plainfield, NH. There are several Parrish paintings with the Freeman Farm. The farm house still exists today and remains in the family. You can see it on Route 12A in Plainfield. Parrish bought the land to build his home from the Freeman - Daniels family.
