Thank you to everyone who has supported the Plainfield Luminary Program’s special fundraising campaign to help duCret School of Art recover from the recent storm damage.
In just a few days, we have already raised more than $1,750, putting us well on our way toward our immediate goal of $2,500. Many people have already donated, and we are deeply grateful for your extreme generosity and community spirit.
The storm damage to duCret and the Plainfield Luminary Program’s response have also been covered by Plainfield TAPinto News, helping bring more awareness to this important recovery effort. Special thanks to the community-oriented team at TAPinto Plainfield.
Cleanup and repair work at duCret has already started. If everything stays on schedule, duCret hopes to resume onsite programs on Monday, July 20, 2026. After such a devastating setback, reopening that quickly would be a remarkable accomplishment.
Nearly 100 students have been impacted, including middle school, high school, and adult students. Getting duCret back online quickly will allow them to continue their art education with only a minimal delay.
duCret is a treasured Plainfield institution serving students, families, artists, and the broader community. The Plainfield Luminary Program organized this special, separate campaign because our mission is to Light and Unite Plainfield — and this is a moment to stand with a community partner in need.
For those who have not donated yet, even a small contribution will be helpful. No amount is too small, and every donation helps duCret move closer to reopening.
