🌿 BRUSH PILE ACCESS UPDATE🌿

The Village of Plainfield has installed a gate at the vehicle access point to the brush pile to help better manage the site and ensure that only brush is being deposited.

🚧 Beginning immediately, the brush pile will only be open on Wednesdays from April through November.

We understand this may be inconvenient for some but due to people dumping inappropriate items multiple times this year the decision had to be made to either restrict access to a limited time or take this amenity completely away.

Please plan accordingly and do not leave brush at the gate or try to enter outside of the designated hours.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us keep the brush pile clean, safe, and available for Village residents. Thank you for your understanding! 🌳

Share this with your friends and families who have students at Tri-County! 📚

Tri-County has a new after-school pickup routine. If you click on the original Tri-County post, there is an attached video that explains how the new pickup process will work.

Take a couple of minutes to watch the video so everyone knows what to expect! 👍

4K-12th grade pick-up changes for dismissal for the 2026-2027 school year. (Video Walkthrough in comments below!) For student pickup at the end of the school day, vehicles will now enter the south playground "horseshoe" from Charles St. Gates will open at 2:30. Please stop at Door #1 outside of the Elementary Gym to give you student(s) names to the attendant. The attendant will radio in as your pull forward to Door #2. Your children will load into your vehicle at Door #2, then you will exit straight out onto Willey St. All student walkers will now be asked to use Elizabeth St. to cross safely at a crosswalk and have access to a sidewalk. Please be patient as families get used to these new changes! Morning drop off will remain the same, with families dropping off their children in the front of the building from the southbound lane of S. West St. There will still be no parking along the northbound lane of S. West St. If families would like to walk their children into school, they are welcome to park in the first row of the lot in front of the building or in the lot closest to the HS Gym.

🚨 Splash Pad Temporarily Closed

The splash pad at Veterans Park is currently out of operation due to a mechanical issue that caused water to spray unexpectedly throughout the area.

Maintenance has shut off the valve while the issue is addressed. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update once the splash pad is back in service.

Thank you for your understanding!
