Last week, SSYC proudly unveiled our NEW playground, and our little sprouts are already loving every minute of it! With more space, more activities, and more opportunities for our students to explore, move, and grow, this playground is bringing so much joy to our school community!

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at SSYC!

At Second Street Youth Center every culture has a story worth celebrating! Each of our classrooms celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in its own special way, with our little learners dressed in traditional clothing representing the beautiful cultures, traditions, and heritage that make up our SSYC family.

From honoring our roots to sharing our traditions, our students reminded us that our differences make our community richer, our stories connect us, and our heritage is something to be proud of!

After what felt like a very long time, we finally got access to our social media again! Needless to say, we have A LOT to catch you up on! And what better way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year than with a little farm fun?! 🍎

Our preschoolers had the BEST time on our field trip to Von Thun’s Farm! From exploring the farm to soaking up all the fall fun, it was the perfect way to start a brand-new school year.

Stay tuned… because now that we’re back, we’re ready to share all the fun, learning, giggles, and adorable moments we’ve been saving up! 😉📸
