A continuación hay información de RHN, una clínica local, que ofrecerá exámenes físicos deportivos GRATUITOS del 13 de julio al 13 de agosto.

La Semana Nacional de Inmunización Infantil (NIIW, por sus siglas en inglés) es una conmemoración anual que se celebra en abril, destacando la importancia de proteger a los niños de dos años o menos contra enfermedades prevenibles mediante vacunas. Los CDC y la Academia Americana de Pediatría (AAP, por sus siglas en inglés) recomiendan que los niños mantengan al día sus citas de bienestar infantil y sus vacunaciones de rutina. La vacunación a tiempo es fundamental para ofrecer protección contra enfermedades potencialmente mortales.

National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) is a yearly observance held in April, highlighting the importance of protecting children two years and younger from vaccine-preventable diseases. CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that children stay on track with their well-child appointments and routine vaccinations. On-time vaccination is critical to provide protection against potentially life-threatening diseases.

El alcalde Charles Starnes ha emitido una declaración de emergencia en preparación para la tormenta invernal pronosticada que afectará la región desde el viernes 23 de enero hasta el domingo 25 de enero. La declaración permanecerá vigente desde el viernes 23 de enero hasta el viernes 29 de enero, para cubrir tanto el evento de la tormenta como cualquier esfuerzo de limpieza necesario después de la misma.

Esta declaración permite a la ciudad fortalecer los esfuerzos para garantizar la seguridad pública, coordinar los servicios de emergencia y gestionar los daños a la propiedad. Se insta a los residentes a prepararse para condiciones peligrosas, incluyendo posibles cortes de energía, carreteras heladas y frío extremo.

October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which was co-created by the American Cancer Society (ACS) in 1985.

Your local health department will be offering vaccines at the Amigos Health Fair this Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Eligibility criteria must be met to receive TVFC vaccines. We will be offering back-to-school vaccines ONLY at this event.

Please have current shot record and Medicaid card present at time of receiving vaccines.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO RECEIVE TVFC VACCINES.
