If you have a son currently in 8th grade, this is a great opportunity for moms and sons to get involved in serving our community together.

Hey, Panthers! We’re getting SO close to our October PTA membership goal, and we need your help to cross the finish line! 🖤❤️

We’re currently at 347 members, which means we need just 15 MORE to reach last year’s total of 362! With only a few days left in October, let’s see if we can make it happen!

Our Snappy Increase goal is within reach, and we’d love to not only match last year’s total but surpass it!

And remember, you don’t have to be a current SMS parent to join! Grandparents, former students, neighbors who want to support our school, former SMS families, and community members are all welcome. If you care about Schimelpfenig and our students, we’d love to have you be part of our PTA!

This is about more than numbers. Every membership helps us work toward our bigger goal of Every Child. One Voice. and building a stronger community that supports and advocates for all our students.

Can you help us find 15 more members before October 31? If you haven’t joined yet, or know someone who would love to support Schimelpfenig, now is the time!

🎨 PANTHERS, REFLECTIONS ENTRIES ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY! 🎬🎶📸

The countdown is on! It’s time to put those finishing touches on your Reflections entries and get them ready to submit! We can’t wait to see the creativity, imagination, and personal stories our Panthers have been working on.

Schimelpfenig students in grades 6–8 are invited to participate in the National PTA Reflections Program and share their creativity inspired by this year’s theme:

Red Ribbon Week will take place the week of Monday, October 26th, through Friday, October 30th. Throughout this special week, please encourage your student to support the mission to be drug-free by participating in this year’s spirit week themes, beginning with Monday's theme, "Red Out Drugs" and wearing red clothing as part of your attire. The remainder of the spirit week themes are listed on the flyer below. In addition, special announcements and lunchtime activities will take place throughout the week for all students.

💗🐾 PINK OUT & STEP OUT AT SCHIMELPFENIG! 🐾💗

What a great day to be a Panther! Today, the SMS PTA was so happy to provide a delicious quesadilla lunch for every student at Schim who wanted one! ❤️🖤 Being able to do something like this for our students is exactly what the PTA is all about, and we couldn't be more excited that we were able to make it happen!

None of this would be possible without the amazing support of our Panther community! Whether you're showing up for Spirit Nights, purchasing spirit wear, making donations, or becoming a PTA member, you're helping us do more for our students. When you support the PTA, you're supporting our students, and today was a perfect example of what we can accomplish together!

One of the easiest ways to support us is by becoming a member! If you haven't joined yet, there's still time!

Every three years, the Schimelpfenig Middle School PTA reviews and updates its bylaws to make sure they align with Texas PTA guidelines and meet the needs of our PTA. A committee of three PTA members has reviewed the current bylaws and proposed changes.

🐾 OCTOBER MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: THE SNAPPY INCREASE! ❤️🖤

We’re getting close, Panthers! We’re currently at 338 PTA members, which means we only need 24 more members to reach 362 — last year’s total! 🎉

But why stop there? We’d love to surpass last year’s number and keep building toward something even bigger: Every Child. One Voice.

The Snappy Increase is our fun October goal to help us build that momentum. PTA is about so much more than a membership number. Every family that joins helps strengthen our collective voice for students and gives our school community an even stronger voice when it comes to supporting our kids and advocating for their needs.

So let’s get those 24 more members and reach last year’s total — and then keep going! 🙌
