The most recent appropriations for the expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing
resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

The Purple Heart is the oldest military award and one of the most prestigious the U.S. bestows upon its service members.

On Purple Heart Day, we pause to honor and remember the bravery and sacrifice of our wounded and fallen heroes.

This Memorial Day, as we mark 250 years of Marine Corps legacy, we remember those who gave their lives in service to our nation.
Their sacrifice paved the way for generations of warfighters.

Today, we celebrate all mothers, but especially mothers of Marines and the mothers who stand in our ranks, both past and present.
