Hidden Valleys Amateur Radio Club

For those curious about the mesh architecture that's out there. One can set up two ThinkNode M1's: one with MeshCore (the hub and spoke) and one with Meshastic (The peer-to-peer). I have a MeshCore repeater installed as well, but because the area is very dry (for now hopefully) it will get stale unless it has someone to talk to. Now if I were in Madison, Chicago, or the Northeast, the density is higher. It requires repeaters - and as a bonus to map on the internet dynamically - can use some observers.

With the peers in groups scattered about you'd be able to do a mobile spot of storms, do a hike, etc. where Meshtastic (Which some members of GRARC in Dubuque presented to our club this month) shines best as long as it stays on its own island and not be pinged by passers-by.
